Why We Love Capris

Capri pants, better known as Pedal Pushers by the older generation, have been a hit in the last few years. Many women look forward to the warmer weather so that they can bring out those Capri pants again. In the way that short shorts have been such a hit with the younger generation, Capri pants have come on strong and show no signs of letting go.

Capri pants are somewhere between bermuda shorts and full pants. They look more like pants than shorts, but they are often worn with summer like tops, often tank tops. As the legs of Capri pants are not as long as traditional pants, they tend to be cooler. They are commonly seen in spring and fall, times when the weather is still warm enough, but too cool for shorts.

There are many women out there that feel they look better in pants than they do in shorts. For these women, they have a third option. Some women will wear Capri pants now that would have previously suffered through the hot summer in pants because they were not comfortable wearing shorts.

Pants that are not the full traditional length also offer a new option for those that have short legs. Many that have short legs have a hard time even with petite sizes, even those are too long. Sometimes the Capri pant lengths that are designed in the full length are long enough to be full pants to those with short legs. For many, this is much better than paying once for the pants, then again to have them tailored.

When traveling and looking for clothes that are versatile Capri's come through nicely. These pants can be worn with tank tops in warmer weather, but they can also be worn with sleeved tops and sweatshirts if the weather is cool. weather reports can never be counted on 100%, so Capri pants will come in where weather reports fail. You know that no matter what the weather when you arrive, you'll be warm or cool enough.

If you're not one suited to sporty clothing and athletic wear Capri's give you another option when attending an event. If you're going to a baseball game on a cool day or early season football game, your Capri pants may be the obvious choice. If you're not comfortable wearing sweatpants or other clothing like that, your Capri pants can come in handy. You'll be warm enough wearing them and confident in your clothing choice.

Capri pants have truly been an answer in many areas to those that choose to wear them. Women wear them for a variety of reasons. If these did not come back into popularity women would continue having to be uncomfortable and continuing to wish that there were more options.

Tips for the Fairway Bunker

If your golf shot landed in the bunker, the next shot depends on the lie that you have in that bunker. If the lie is bad or rather, the ball is buried, then you will need a higher lofted club such as the 7-iron to the sand wedge to get the ball out. In such cases, it is advisable to get the ball back into play and approach from there.

However, if you have a good lie in the bunker, there are choices for you. If you are not comfortable, you can opt to play safe and just take a lofted club to get the ball back onto the fairway and play from there. The other choice is to go for the green from the bunker. This is possible since you have a good lie.

Longer irons, just as the 3, 4 or 5 irons can be used for situation where you have a good lie in the fairway bunkers. A lofted wood can also be used in place of the longer irons. A 5 or 7 wood is also playable. There are a couple of things to note when playing this shot. It may be slightly different from playing a greenside bunker shot.

  1. Take a wider stance for stability.
  2. Work your feet into the sand for better balance. You dont want to be sliding around.
  3. Play the ball slightly back in the stance than normal. Bear in mind that this shot requires the golf club contact first with the ball before the sand.
  4. Choke down on the shaft of your golf club of choice. This is to compensate the digging inof the feet into the sand.
  5. Aim slightly to the left of target.
  6. Swing normal.. Do not rush and do not try to hit too hard. Swing normal
  7. Follow through the shot. Do not stop at impact.
  8. Pray (just kidding)
practice and I am sure you will get to the green from the fairway bunkers
