Home Security Camera Systems - What You Need To Know

When you get to the point that you're going to design and install a home security camera system, be aware that one size does not fit all. You'll need to customize your design to fit the needs that you have for your family and the limitations that you might have in the floor plan at your home.

For example, the answers to the following questions may dictate the sort of home security camera system that you install.

Whatever your situation, you are going to have very specific needs that must be met by the hardware and layout of a home security camera system.

You also have to decide what you want to do with the images that are captured by your home security camera system. For example:

You'll need to decide for yourself what you want out of your home security camera system. Let's look at some other basic questions that may apply to everyone who finds themselves shopping for a home security camera system.

Location

The most obvious place for putting a camera is at the main entry to your home. In this way you can screen who is coming to your home from another location say in your office or in your bedroom. You may also consider putting a camera near where your children play outside. And if you have a home office, put a camera in there.

Hardware

Speaking of location, the kind of camera you buy will be influenced by where you plan to put it. For example, if the camera is going to be located outside then you want it to be more visible. One such kind of security camera is called the bullet camera. This kind of camera has a long lens and is mounted on a wall-bracket, away from the side of your home. Typically they will run on 12V DC current.

With a camera of this sort, you get double duty because it can not only monitor activity outside, it can act as a deterrent, keeping burglars away. Police in most major cities will tell you that the chances of a break-in or a burglary are almost cut in half by the presence of one or more clearly visible security cameras in, and around, your home.

On the other hand, if the camera is located inside your home, you want to make it as unobtrusive as possible. One such kind of camera is known as a dome camera. This camera comes in the shape of a dome that fits on the ceiling of your home. You've seen these sorts of cameras in retail stores and casinos. You can use dome cameras outside as well, but they need to be protected against the elements.

A similar sort of camera is called a board camera. These kinds of cameras have a fixed lens mounted to a circuit board. Additionally, it might be packaged in a small case or it might be put in a dome -- or it might not have a package at all. cameras of this sort will have a small pinhole lens. In other words, a very small opening. Sometimes these kinds of cameras are called spy cameras. You can put this kind of camera almost anywhere. These are great if you put them in a hidden location. Often, these kinds of cameras are put in a smoke detector or pointing through a small hole in a wall.

Time of Day

If you want to monitor the outside of your home at night -- and who doesn't, as almost all robberies and break-ins happened once it gets dark -- you'll want another kind of camera: an infrared camera. This kind of camera automatically sees in the dark, recording everything in black and white. They're very good at detecting moving objects when it's completely pitch black outside. What this means is that you can sleep comfortably and not worry at all that you'll wake up to a nasty surprise.

conclusion

before you buy a home security camera system, make sure you've done some research. Make sure you've asked yourself the right kind of questions. This will help you make an informed decision when it comes to the well-being of your family and personal property.

And one more thing:

Don't cut any corners. A home security camera system can be expensive, but it is worth the peace of mind.

Odyssey Golf Putters - Black Series

The Odyssey company offers extensive lines of putters, and this article will describe one of their product lines, the Odyssey black Series of putters.

The Odyssey black Series consists of 3 putter head designs all of which take advantage of the design and technology features developed for this product line.

One feature used on all three models is a tungsten flange at the back of the putter head. this flange adds weight to the rear of the putter head and creates a low CG (center of gravity) which is deep in the club face. this feature helps to lift the ball slightly upon impact and get it rolling quicker. Since the golf ball actually is slightly nestled down into the grass of the putting green, hitting the putt initially with an upward angle helps get the ball rolling. In fact there is a short video on the Odyssey black Series web site that shows a comparison between these clubs and another allegedly typical putter. The black Series putter got the ball rolling about 1 inches before the other putter did. Working in conjunction with the placement of the CG is the loft of the putter face. Each of the putter heads in the line, which are simply called black Series no. 1, no. 2, and no. 3, have a different loft angle of the putter face which is optimized to get the quickest roll possible for the given CG location of each particular putter head. The theory is that the sooner the ball stops skidding after impact and begins a true roll, the more accurate the putt will be, and this certainly makes sense. It should also be noted that the weighted flange helps to create a higher MOI as well, and this provides some forgiveness for putts not hit exactly on the sweet spot of the putter face.

These putters are certainly top of the line and carry a retail price tag of $249 each. black Series no. 1 putter has a rounded heel-toe weighted putter blade with a so called crank-neck hosel and a one shaft offset. The crank neck simply means that the offset is achieved by moving the shaft forward at 90 degree angles instead of a gradual bending of the hosel or shaft. The black Series no. 2 putter has the same features but is more squared-off in appearance. black Series model no. 3 is a mallet style putter with a double bend shaft that gives the same full-shaft offset.

The putter head is made of 1025 carbon steel and features a mix-milled face design which indicates the proper impact area. In other words the face has two different mill patterns on it. There is also a urethane damping layer between the flange and the milled carbon steel head that dampens vibrations.

The three traditional shaped heads of the Odyssey Back Series golf putters offer an interesting alternative for the serious golfer who prefers a traditional type of look and who can afford to spend $249 on his putter. They are certainly worth a look.

A Discussion of Yoga for Arthritis

In this article, I will attempt to set the record straight on the subject of yoga for arthritis.

One major problem with arthritis is the fact that it tends to rob the individual of a certain sense of freedom and of control. It often occurs later in life when the individual is already beginning to see other negative changes in lifestyle and capabilities. Adding the nagging and/or excruciating and sometimes seemingly random pain of arthritis and lack of mobility can be almost devastating for many people.

While treatments and medications do exist to decrease pain and perhaps restore some mobility, many people wonder it there isn't some other way. Perhaps there is a more natural way to at least decrease some of the pain and restore some of the mobility. In such hopes, some will turn to exercise, only to turn away when their pain seems to increase and the arthritis seems to prevent them from effectively participating in the activity anyway.

As if this weren't enough, when people open books on yoga and look at the pictures, they find it impossible to believe that they could ever achieve such contortions...even if they did not have arthritis!

So, is it possible for yoga and arthritis to coexist amicably?

The answer is most certainly, "Yes"!

However, we must always keep in mind that individuals are different as are the forms and levels of arthritis they are burdened with. Therefore, always begin any exercise program, yoga or otherwise, with the approval of your physician. Be aware also that you may or may not be able to achieve what someone else has achieved. You will NOT, in most instances at least, be able to achieve the pretzel-like contortions of the masters in the pictures. However, most people will be able to increase flexibility and strength while decreasing the negative effects of arthritis by regular, consistent practice of yoga.

Almost any low impact exercise program from swimming, bike riding, and walking to weightlifting and bodybuilding (yes, I said weightlifting and bodybuilding) will be beneficial for almost anyone afflicted with arthritis. In fact, according to treatment guidelines published by the American College of Rheumatology, exercise is considered to be an integral and effective part of any treatment for arthritis, whether it is rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis.

Exercise can contribute so much to the arthritic or non-arthritic individual that it is almost a given that anyone should participate in regular physical activity of some kind. However, relative to those with arthritis in particular, who often are already on their own downward spiral of decreasing physical strength, lack of energy, and decreasing endurance or stamina, exercise is a key element in combating the condition. people with arthritis tend to become more sedentary than the rest of the population in general, which, by the way, is having increasing problems with those outlined above AND obesity as well.

Regular moderate exercise of any kind seems to play a major role in promoting joint health, decreasing joint pain and discomfort, while reversing the problems with strength, endurance, and energy mentioned above. Regular exercise also contributes to a better sense of emotional and psychological well-being while enhancing immune system function as well.

Okay! I'm sold on exercise for arthritis, but what does yoga have to offer that other exercise programs do not?

First, let's get past the idea that you have to be incredibly flexible to do yoga. Nothing can be farther from the truth. In fact, the very attempt to execute the movement or achieve the position is one of the major factors in the efficacy of yoga. Many people who practice yoga regularly cannot perform the yoga positions seen in the pictures in books, and it is not uncommon for props and straps to be used to help others achieve something similar to the position. people of all shapes, sizes, and weights do yoga regularly, and this includes many with arthritis as well.

Having said that, yoga and arthritis go well together because yoga, when done properly, is actually a very gentle yet effective exercise method. It is calming and helps relieve stress while providing the benefits of other exercise programs while also providing some of its own. Along that line, yoga becomes additionally empowering in that, in addition to the benefits of exercise, and reduction of stress, yoga increases self confidence and aids in concentration, often allowing the individual to find unique insight into problems or difficulties at many levels.

Yoga is easily learned, allows the practitioner to progress at his or her pace, requires little or no special equipment (some do yoga nude), requires little space, and can easily fit into almost any schedule, even being cut up into several short sessions instead of one longer one. Many people enjoy the calming nature of yoga, particularly if they are facing other difficulties such as arthritis or many other physical conditions. Yoga can be a group activity or can be practiced alone. It can be learned with the aid of formal instruction, or a certain degree of competence can be acquired through the use of books and videos on the subject.

Last, but perhaps not least, many people just plain enjoy yoga, arthritis sufferers included.

So, in my opinion, yoga for arthritis may be a good choice for you. Why not give it a try?

Before you find out what you need to do to try to stop divorce, you must understand that in just about every state, you cannot stop a divorce by yourself if your spouse is determined to get one.

In addition, here are three strategies that you need to avoid if you want to stop divorce:

1. Giving reassurance, such as I've changed. I won't have another affair. I won't lie to you anymore. This strategy never works.

2. Telling him/her repeatedly, I love you. This strategy also does not work.

3. Arguing and trying to talk him/her into feeling different. This strategy does not work as well.

So what you can do to stop divorce?

The biggest secret is that you need to work at your relationship. You must persistently work at having pleasant relationship. By no means should you take your relationship for granted.

Many outside factors (job, finances, illness or inattention) have huge influence on relationships. You goal should be to deal with these factors.

Here are three steps to stop divorce.

1. Husband and wife should come to an understanding that an outside factor is the most important cause.

Dealing with Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Are you having a difficult time dealing with anxiety and panic attacks? Perhaps it would ease your mind to know that you are not alone. Anxiety is a normal emotional and physiological response when you feel threatened, even if the threat is only imagined.

Your experience of anxiety might range from mild uneasiness or worry to severe panic. At normal levels, a small shot of anxiety can motivate you and enhance your performance, but if anxiety becomes too severe or goes on for long periods of time, it can become debilitating.

So how do you know if what youre experiencing is an actual panic attack? The symptoms are pretty east to spot. Your heart might start to race, perhaps you start to sweat, and you might have a feeling of helplessness and hopelessness. Maybe you start to feel dizzy with a stuck feeling in your heart.

While anxiety has never killed anyone directly (no youre heart wont actually stop!), the stress of it can be pretty debilitating at times. In fact dealing with anxiety and panic attacks is exhausting. The stress of it can wear you out. You know you need to relax but when panic occurs relaxation seems impossible.

Well just how do you deal with anxiety and panic attacks? Obviously panic does not really attack. Panic and anxiety are emotional responses not physical attacks. There is no jiu-jitsu for anxiety. But you dont have to live your life in fear and anxiety either. There are many great techniques for dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. You could try yoga, massage, tai chi, or going for a good run. Many people use hobbies to reduce anxiety. For instance, my wife makes artist trading cards and quilts. Some people scrapbook. Anything you can use to take your mind off your problems, again real or imagined.

Some people take medication such as Imipramine or Doxepin. I have to admit, Im not a big fan of using prescription drugs for lifestyle issues. That said, your symptoms might be too severe for natural treatment. If not you might be more inclined to a natural herbal treatment such as L-theanine, an amino acid found in green tea. Another one you might try is Valerian extract, a safe and effective natural sedative.

Its important to remember that while panic disorders wont really harm you, they are serious enough that you need to address them. If you go for months and cant get out of your funk, you just may want to consult your doctor. But before things get to that level try learning how to deal with anxiety and panic attacks in a more natural manner.

How to Hit Fairway Woods and Long Irons

We would all love to be able to get within 100 yards of the green when we tee off. Unfortunately this luxury is not always possible and most of us will have to reach for a long iron or fairway wood several times during a round of golf.

this is often a frustrating situation to find yourself in. Even though on a par 5 it would be quite common, when teeing off on a par 4, we are aiming to get within an easy shot with a 7 or 9 iron or the green.

So when you find yourself having to take a shot with a fairway wood or long iron on a par 4, it is often because you have made a mistake.

So one of the first things to do is take stock of the situation and try not to get angry with yourself. this only leads to lack of concentration and more mistakes. And you don't want to be taking 2 shots with your long iron or fairway wood!

The second thing to do is to take a normal address position when setting yourself up for the shot. Treat this shot like any other shot and don't let using the long iron or fairway wood intimidate you. Fear will also create more mistakes and frustration.

Next position the ball slightly back and take a full backswing. Because of the design of fairway woods and long irons, you need to hit the ball at the bottom of the swing, instead of the descending blow of the much shorter irons.

Also, while setting up your swing, think about aiming to clip the top of the grass. Unlike shorter irons, your long irons will not create the deep divots and you will achieve a greater impact.

I believe that the main thing to do is not to panic when you find yourself in this situation. Fear arises from lack of familiarity with having to use the long irons and fairway woods, so take time to use them at the driving range.

Also, if your driving range has a grassed section, spend plenty of time creating a set up that will work for you when you hit the golf course. Next time you are reaching for the long irons or fairway woods, it won't feel like the first time!

Find out more about hitting with long irons and fairway woods, and get some tips on how to hit with these clubs more effectively.
